Gustav Adolf's churchIn 1870 the National Evangelical Society of Sweden/Norway established a mission in Liverpool. Together with Danish and Finnish assistance they set forth to build their own church there. The selected architect was mr. W. D. Caroe, son of mr. A. K. Caroe, consul for Denmark. The foundation stone was laid on December 1st, 1883 and the church opened a year later. The buildings comprise a church with reading room below, and a small house for the resident Pastor. The church is situated on the corner of Park Lane and Cornhill.
